covered market - village of Lyons la Forêt - Chez Robins

Lyons La Forêt

Originally built around a simple 10th century ducal house, the town is now one of the most beautiful and interesting to visit in the Vexinois region. It is about 30km from Gisors.
The market in the main square has retained its medieval spirit, the surrounding streets are full of large, pretty wooded houses and art galleries, antique shops and restaurants. The auction house is well worth a visit to look for traditional French treasures, especially at the end of the day for the larger pieces of furniture.
Arrive early on weekends and market days so you can park your car.
